My Story
My life has been a spiral, always moving toward the center. Like the circular pattern of the seasons, I’ve been on a quest to learn, to experience, and to succeed. My spiritual journey began when I was five. While my friends dreamed of becoming teachers, nurses and cheerleaders, I aspired to be a saint. However, my career took me in different directions. I have worked in broadcasting, strategic marketing, education, and the arts, with spirituality ever flowing through the aquifers of my being.
Years ago, a retreat changed the trajectory of my life. I vividly remember sitting in a large cafeteria with 50 or so women, sipping coffee before the start of the program. I sat next to a beautiful woman with sea-blue-green eyes who wore a turban. We started talking, and I asked her what most people ask, “What do you do for a living?” She leaned in and whispered “I am an Interfaith/Inter-spiritual Minister.” The room seemed to stop spinning with activity and noise. I felt a fresh wind blow through my heart and knew I had to know more. We met for lunch soon after where she shared her amazing story of attending One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City.
I spent the following year in a 10-month discernment process, asking the Divine whether attending seminary was my path. After months of prayer and working with a spiritual director, I was led to apply to One Spirit, where I began a 3- year rigorous course of study in Interfaith Leadership and Spiritual Life Coaching.
After numerous attempts to realize my childhood dream of sainthood, my path led me to become an Interfaith/Inter-spiritual Minister with expertise in transforming women’s lives through Spiritual Life Coaching. It is an honor and tremendous blessing to assist my clients in enriching their lives with meaning and guiding them toward their true purpose.
I bring a rich tapestry of religious traditions to my work with women. Raised in the Roman Catholic Church, I learned the importance of spiritual discipline and vocation. Later, I practiced meditation in the Zen Buddhist tradition and received lay ordination. My spirit has also been nourished in the silence of Quaker Meetings. Reading wisdom literature from the world’s major faith traditions and indigenous spirituality, practicing contemplative prayer, maintaining a daily gratitude practice, and finding solitude in natural settings deepen my connection with the Divine.
I love to cook, explore fine art museums, write poetry, and travel to far off places that inspire my soul. I live in North Carolina with my husband, Rick and our cat, Prince Cashmere, Duke of Marmalade.
I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story. Reach out soon to schedule a discovery call with me.
