Where Do Words Come From?

I wrote this poem after hiking around a crystalline lake on Mt. Rainier.

Midway toward the peak of stretching Mountain,

Lushness races down to embrace her friend, Lake.

Dirt Path tickles Lake’s bare edges.

Full Sun admires his steady reflection.

Cloud shift shapes as she sings smooth jazz.

Breeze bends rowdy overgrown Grasses.

Children laugh against the shoreline.

Glittering Ripples slowly speak one word at a time.

An Invitation

Sometimes the most profound invitations come quietly, like ripples speaking one word at a time. If you’re ready to slow down and listen for what Spirit may be whispering in your life, reach out to me. As a spiritual companion, I’d be happy to listen with you.
