Church of the Wild
Nature’s Sanctuary
Church of the Wild is a network of churches throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe that are blossoming into a collaborative movement with the common thread of holding sacred services outside.
A Church of the Wild service is rich through practices from the world’s great religious traditions including indigenous spirituality, prayers, poetry, music, and 40 minutes of contemplative time of solo walking on the land. By solo wanderings in the forest we hear what our beloved friend nature has to teach us. We are co-participants in a larger story of grace and inter-being.
Services are held to honor the Divine with the Earth and all of its beings, remembering our sacred inter-connection and interdependence. The 1½ hour morning service is followed by time spent with one another to weave a meaningful and supportive community.
Church of the Wild is a sacred spiritual experience open to everyone, secular or spiritual, believers and non-believers. Our community is rooted in trust, authenticity, inclusion and love. All are welcome to attend, no one is pressured to participate and all are free to simply observe.
I enjoy connecting over coffee or by zoom, so feel free to reach out anytime.
